Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation is granted to individuals employed in the recreation, park resources and leisure services profession who meet high standards of performance. In order to achieve CPRP status, applicants must meet minimum qualifications and successfully complete the national examination.
National Recreation and Parks Association- (CPRP) Member Certification
For more than 40 years, NRPA has been the voice advocating the significance of making parks, open space, and recreational opportunities available to all Americans. That makes NRPA your organization. Park professionals, urban planners, concerned citizens all benefit from NRPA because parks and recreation is important to everyone. In towns all across America, millions of acres of open space that could be transformed into hiking and biking trails, community parks, and local recreation centers is being bulldozed and paved over. The Mission of the National Recreation and Park Association is “To advance parks, recreation and environmental conservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all people.”
NRPA- National Aquatic Branch Membership- represents hundreds of aquatic professionals in all areas of the field, from parks and recreation and pool managers to facility and program designers to lifeguards and professors of aquatic education!
NRPA-American Park and Recreation Society Membership- largest professional branch of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) with over 8,500 designated members, APRS is primarily comprised of professionals who work in the local delivery of park, recreation and leisure services. APRS members represent diversified park and/or recreation interests in government, private agencies and commercial organizations.
NRPA- Leisure and Aging Section Membership- section of NRPA representing the field of leisure and aging. LAS members include senior center staff, recreation practitioners, activity directors, administrators, educators, students, volunteers and older adults. The mission of LAS is to help older Americans remain healthy and active through participation in recreational pursuits and to provide the leadership, advocacy and education necessary to ensure the availability of leisure and recreation opportunities for older Americans.
Oklahoma Recreation & Parks Society Membership and Certification- Serving since 1956, ORPS membership is representative of statewide communities, higher education, regional and commercial members from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, North Dakota and Canada. Committed to furthering the professional development of its membership, ORPS promotes networking, education, communication and opportunities for service among professionals in the field. ORPS is a non-profit society interested in delivering quality leisure services to every community in Oklahoma.
Other Sapulpa Parks and Recreation Department training and educational activities include:
