Senior Citizens Community Center

The Sapulpa Senior Citizens Community Center, is located at 515 E. Dewey, just east of City Hall.

The Parks and Recreation Department administrative offices are located in the Senior Center and are open for business from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.

All Seniors in the Sapulpa community are invited to call or visit the Sr. Citizen's Community Center to participate in any of our many programs. Our friendly, caring staff are always on hand to assist with programs and activities designed specifically with seniors in mind.

The Center offers: pool, cards, dominoes, bible study, movie afternoon, music concerts, and more. Relax, socialize and enjoy a cup of coffee. For those wanting to stay fit, tai chi, and line dancing, as well as health and educational workshops are also available. Our weekly schedule for activities is listed below:

All activities are ongoing at the Senior Center, and can be joined at any time.

  • Tai Chi - FREE - offered Mondays 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
  • Bingo - $1 per card - offered Tuesdays at 9:00am.
  • Ladies Arts & Crafts - (Fee for supplies) - offered Wednesdays 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
  • Arteries Art Classes - November 30 - December 21, 2016.
  • Line Dancing - FREE - offered Fridays 1:00pm - 2:30pm.
  • Senior Dances - FREE - Donations appreciated - every First & Third Friday of the month. 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Live Music and Refreshments.
  • Other activities include - Special lunches, Birthday parties, Dominos, Cards, Billiards and much more!

Senior Lunch is served Tuesday - Thursday at 11:00am. A $3.00 donation is requested. Please RSVP a day in advance. Come for lunch and stay for activities afterwards!

Please join us for our Free Fruits and Vegetables give-away every Thursday.

Tai Chi

Moving for Better Balance! Through simple, graceful movements that are easy to learn, Tai Chi builds physical stamina, improves one's balance, muscular strength, postural control, self-confidence, memory, and reduces the likelihood of falling. This Tai Chi program can be done from the standing or sitting position.

Join us for this FREE 12 week program, brought to you by Master instructor Gina Wozencraft with the Creek County Health Department.

Drawing on Memories

"Drawing on Memories" is a program for those in the early stage diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Dementia. The program is designed for those, along with their care givers to engage the mind through hands-on art activities. Class is offered the first Thursday of each month, from 1:00-2:00PM, by Kathleen Curran. Click here for more details!

 

 

REFIT - Cardio Workout

Join us at the Senior Center beginning in July 2017 for a total body workout! Workouts begin Mondays at 5:30pm and Tuesdays/Thursday from 6-7pm. Instructor - April Dillahunty.   Click here for more details!
