Sapulpa Lakes

Sapulpa City parks range in function and size from small, one-acre tot lots to a large youth sports complex. Pretty Water Lake and Sahoma Lake are utilized for outdoor boating, camping (tent and r/v, fishing, and hunting activities.


Boating
Boating opportunities are available at Lake Sahoma and Pretty Water Lake. Boat permits are required at both city lakes. Boats with a gasoline motor attached are not allowed on Pretty Water Lake.

*Boating permits are complimentary with the purchase of any city fishing permit.
Annual: $10 + tax; Daily: $2 + tax.

Camping
Tent camping and an R/V campground are currently available at Lake Sahoma.

Tents: $6 + tax per night (2 tents allowed per site)
R/V’s: $12 + tax per night (1 R/V per site)
Senior Citizen R/V discount fee: $10 + tax per night.

Fishing
Year round fishing opportunities are available at Lake Sahoma and a variety of streams and creeks comprising the City’s water sources.

General fishing permits for Sahoma Lake: (Expire on the calendar year)
    Ages 16-64 cost: Annual: $10 + tax;
                                Daily: $2 + tax,
    Youth ages 15 and under, and senior citizens ages 65 and over are FREE.

Catfish and Trout fishing permits for Pretty Water Lake: (Expire on the calendar year)
    Ages 9-15yrs cost: Annual: $10 + tax;
           16-64yrs cost: Annual: $15 + tax;
             Seniors 65+: Annual: $10 + tax

Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Channel Catfish, Rainbow and Golden Trout, Perch, Blue Gill, and Redear perch can all be found within 5 miles from downtown Sapulpa. If you want to catch beautiful Rainbow and Golden Trout, you can do it right here in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Hunting
Hunting is allowed on Lake Sahoma. Teel, duck, and geese hunting seasons are determined by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and generally run from September through December.

There are 14 designated duck blind locations on Lake Sahoma. Annual Permits cost $10.00 and must be purchased prior to entering the Duck Blind drawing.
** The 2016 Duck Hunting season has been canceled due to the repair work on the Lake Sahoma spillway.
